Affiliate Program: Activating Your Account and Tracking Earnings
The Hovixa Affiliate Program allows you to earn recurring commissions by referring new clients to our hosting and VPS infrastructure. Our system utilizes a 90-day tracking cookie to ensure you receive credit even if a user doesn't sign up immediately after their first visit. This guide details how to initialize your affiliate status and interpret your performance metrics.
1. Activating Your Affiliate Status
Affiliate functionality is not enabled by default for all billing accounts. You must manually opt-in to generate your unique tracking ID.
- Log in to the Hovixa Client Portal.
- In the top navigation menu, click on Affiliates.
- Review the commission structure and terms of service.
- Click the Activate Affiliate Account button.
2. Generating Your Referral Link
Once activated, the system provides a Unique Referral Link. This link contains your specific ID (e.g., https://hovixa.com/aff.php?aff=XXX). Any traffic sent through this URL is tracked by our billing engine.
Best Practices for Deployment:
- Direct Links: Use the raw link for social media or direct communication.
- Banners/Creative: If available, use Hovixa-provided banners in your website’s sidebar to increase CTR (Click-Through Rate).
- Custom Landing Pages: You can append parameters to link directly to specific products (e.g., a specific VPS plan) while maintaining your affiliate tracking.
3. Understanding the Affiliate Dashboard
Your dashboard provides real-time analytical data to help you measure the effectiveness of your referrals:

| Signups | The number of users who successfully registered an account and purchased a service. |
| Conversion Rate | The percentage of clicks that resulted in a paid signup (Signups / Clicks). |
| Pending Commissions | Earnings currently in the "holding period" (used to prevent fraud and account for refunds). |
| Available Balance | Commissions that have cleared the holding period and are ready for withdrawal. |
4. Payouts and Technical Implementation
- Cookie Duration: We use a 90-day cookie. If a user clicks your link today but only buys a service 60 days from now, the commission is still attributed to your account.
- Withdrawal Threshold: There is a minimum balance requirement (e.g., $50.00) before you can request a payout. Once reached, a "Request Withdrawal" button will appear.
- Payout Methods: Commissions can be paid out via PayPal or applied as Hovixa Account Credit to pay for your own services.
- Validation Period: To protect against credit card fraud, commissions remain "Pending" for 30–60 days before becoming "Available."
Analytical Note: Self-referrals (signing up for a new account using your own affiliate link) are strictly prohibited and will result in the immediate forfeiture of all commissions and possible account termination.
